What the shop stores about you, why, and who else handles it.

What is stored

  • Account: name, email address and a one-way hash of the password. The password itself is not stored.
  • Orders: the delivery name, address, email and phone you enter at checkout, the parts, quantities and amounts, and the order's status history.
  • Crate: the parts and quantities in your crate, linked to a random token in a cookie, or to your account once you sign in.
  • Payment: the payment reference and result returned by the card provider. Card numbers are entered on the provider's page and never reach Ohmcrate.

Why

To take and deliver orders, to let you see your dockets and invoices, to reset a forgotten password, and to keep the accounting records a shop must keep.

Who else handles it

  • Trezuz, the card payment provider, receives the amount and the order reference to take the payment.
  • Hostinger delivers the shop's emails: password reset, payment confirmed, payment failed and dispatched.
  • The courier carrying the parcel receives the delivery name, address and phone.

The shop runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.

How long

Order records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require. Account details are kept until you ask for the account to be closed.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of the data held about you, for corrections, or for the account to be closed. Write to support@ohmcrate.online, or reply to any email the shop has sent you.
